RL with Daniel: Back In time

Elphaba was nearly ready for the travel. She took the grimmerie with her as a measure of security. She didn't know much about the world Daniel was in and maybe they would be surprised if they suddently saw a green woman flying in a broom.

The broom was now supended in midair nearly to the ceiling and the green witch made a move of her hand to made it get down. The broom didn't move and Elphaba frowned, *that thing can have such a character sometimes*. She sighed.

-Come here *now*- Elphaba said in a cold voice and the broom got down quickly. -Good girl. Now, came on, we have a space-travel to do-

Charming...yeah, that was one way of putting it. Along with GREEN! That one made him notice more. Was this entirely safe? Now that he had actually seen Elphaba and her...broom, he was starting to have second thoughts. Besides, what if he messed up the timeline? Would going back cause any sort of permanent damage? Well, it wouldn't to him...in Jack's time he was ascended. And besides, anything related to the timeline would be messed up with the sudden arrival of Elphaba.

So, since it was going to be messed up anyway, no harm, right? Besides, it could just be a parallel universe and not his own timeline. Yeah, a parallel universe sounded good. "Yep," Daniel said, holding tight to his gun. "Let's go." He hoped he was making the right decision.

Elphaba looked at the gun with a frown. There was nothing like thing in her world but she had a bad feeling about it. Daniel looked more assure having it with him so she didn't say nothing. Instead of that, she smiled again.

"Perfect." Elphaba opened the book she took with her and read one of the spell of the grimmerie. The broom became large in a few seconds and she turned back to Daniel. "We are ready too. Ride it."

That was a broom. He was going to ride a broom. All the rational circuts in Daniel's mind were going off at high speeds. A broom. How could that be possible? Still slightly wary, Daniel looked at the broom. He would ride it like a horse, he guessed. "I hope I'm doing this right," he said to Elphaba, smiling shakily. Walking up to the broom, Daniel sat on it, one leg on each side. He looked towards Elphaba, waiting for clarification.

Elphaba made an effort to not laugh out loud. Watching people from other worlds trying to use a broom like that for the first tiem it was just too much fun to handle sometimes.

-You're doing it perfect.- She said.-No if you don't mind, I'm going to drive.- Elphaba sit over the broom in a way more feminine than daniel and put her arms around the wood. She looked one more time to Daniel. -Try not to fall down, it will be too much of a mess to clean.-

And the broom moved to up and a fast move and crossed the air like a cannonball

"That's good to know," Daniel responded, nodding at Elphaba's remark. At least he was doing it right. The last thing he needed was the broom to...he didn't know, explode or something.

Ah, now Elphaba was on the broom. Daniel flailed slightly, trying to grab the broom and his gun at the same time. He eventually ended up in a sort of odd huddle, the gun being held mostly by his arm pressing the gun against his side. Okay, this was good so far. "Wait, try not to fa-"

Then the broom started. Daniel's eyes widened. This was FAST. And not safe. He clung to the broom for dear life.

Now Elphaba felt like home, flying in the air, defying gravity. She looked over her shoulder a few times, to made sure that Daniel was still on the broom. It looked like he had some balance problem at first but at least he didn't fell.

-We will be there on a minute, are you ready for the landing?-

He was flying. Flying on a broom. Brooms weren't like spaceships. With spaceships, there was about fifty feet of wall, mechanics and other stuff to protect you from debris. And wind. And the crushing vortex of space. Here? Not so much. He was freaking out. Brooms sucked.

Wait a moment-ready for the landing? Daniel's eyes widened. "Yeah, sure," he said, smiling slightly at Elplaba. In reality, not so much. How did she land something like this? Did it just crash? Maybe it hovered? Daniel needed to know how the stupid broom worked-he would feel much safer then.

Elphaba noticed the insecurity on Daniel's voice. She was tempted of make a kamikaze landing just to see Daniel's reaction, but having a growing man screaming his head will not be the most sneaky movement. And they need to be sneaky in that place. And after all she was feeling a bit sympathetic for him, he didn't look like he enjoyed the travel at all.

With a sigh and soft move Elphaba managed the broom down, landing gentle in the floor.

(I didn't describe the place they landed because I really have no idea ^^')

Daniel frowned, keeping a good hold on his gun. Now that the broom ride was over, his mind was having a mental battle. He knew how this would end. He talked to the Sam from his timeline, and they got him out peacefully and with no help from ascended beings and green witches. He had told the Sam from Jack's timeline that he would wait until she tried. However...he was getting impatient. Just the thought that Jack was in prison freaked him out. Besides, this could be alternate timelines. He really, really hoped that this was an alternate timeline. He sighed. It really stunk being from the future.

"Hey," Daniel quietly said, looking at Elphaba. "Is it possible for you to send a message to somebody? We might have some help here." Well, that was the nicest way to put it. It wasn't like he was going to say 'let's radio Sam to see if she already busted Jack out'. Elphaba had the power to travel through time. He really didn't want to see what she could to do someone who annoyed him. Still, didn't want to break the timeline.

"Uhm...a message? Yes I think I can do it. Just a letter or you want to send something more? because..." Elphaba whistled and a crow appeared aparenly from no where, flying to her shoulder. "..I don't know if him can took bigger packages".

Elphaba looked around them, she hoped that they wasn't late and Jack was ok until they can find him.

Daniel's eyes widened as the crow flew towards Elphaba and landed on her shoulder. Was there anything this girl couldn't do? "Yeah, just a message." That was neat. Shoving a hand into his pocket, he fished around, trying to find some sort of paper scrap. There was a leftover receipt from when he went to a grocery store. Reaching into his vest pocket, he pulled out a pen. Using his leg as a table, he scribbled a message on the receipt:

'Sam. Elphaba and me are here. Going to rescue Jack. Send crow back with info-how are you doing? Is Jack already rescued? What have you got? Sorry for any trouble. Daniel'.

Frowning, Daniel folded the receipt in half, then in half again. He turned to the crow. "Ah, can you give this to Samantha Carter?" he asked, showing the folded receipt. "She has short blond hair, she works with me, and she works in a place named Cheyanne Mountain." He frowned, not sure if he should go on with his explanation or not. Puzzled, Daniel looked to Elphaba for guidance.

She smiled at him. Looks like she managed to meet a militar who wasn't a complete idiot after all. Jack wasn't idiont either, but he was always loosing his temper in front of Elphaba (wich she foudn so amusing she tried to bother him as much as she could) and she just knew Sam for a bit.

Elphaba looked at the crow and the black bird made a screech. Then it picked up the paper from Daniel's hands with his beak and flew away.

-You did it perfect. He will find her, and if he need help he will ask the other birds.- The wich looked arroudn with a frown. -I don't think it's a good idea to stay here where someone can find us. The crow fill come back to me eventually, why if we find some place to hide?

Daniel grinned as Elphaba reassured him of the job he did. That was good. He really didn't know what to do when it came to situations like this. Time travel wasn't his forte. Heck, time anything wasn't his forte. He was an archaeologist. "Thanks," Daniel said, grin still on his face.

"Yeah, you're right." Daniel idly clutched his gun closer to his body. Some place to hide would be a good idea. He frowned, thinking. He had his key to his house on him...but he wasn't sure of its current state. The him in this timeline was dead right now. Besides, he was fairly certain that he had the locks changed between this time and his time. "My place is out," Daniel quietly said, thinking. "Maybe we could just go somewhere out of the way? We're not exactly subtle," he said, looking at Elphaba's green skin.

-Really?- Elphaba's eyebrows went up - How surprising, uh?-She said with irony but not real evilness. She was used of be different but that didn't mean that she like it. -You have a home here? Looks like a good place to me. You feel like use the broom again or your stomack isn't prepared for it?-

Elphaba smiled soflty to Daniel, she was always to rude to people, Galinda always said her to be more nice but she wasn't used to socialize. She tried her best.

-So...tell me about of you. You doesn't look exactly like a militar like Carter, and I mean no ofense with that.-

Wait. Daniel's mind was working furiously. Was he still in the apartment at this time? He frowned, thinking hard. He was in the apartment. This wasn't good. He didn't have the key. Daniel frowned, then just gave up. Heck. He could always just break a window or something. "My house should be the way it is-I'm not sure. Technically, I'm dead in this time." He felt comfortable telling Elphaba that. She looked like she'd experianced weirder things in her time. He'd check the apartment. But there was the second matter. Brooms. "I guess I'm ready." Daniel said, smiling slightly.

Daniel shook his head. He didn't know what a "militar" was, but he assumed it meant a soldier. "Nope. I'm an archaeologist. Circumstances beyond my control led me to the military." Heh. That was a nice way to put it. Nice and vague. "I don't regret it though. I've seen some things that other people would never get the chance to see." Space, aliens, meeting Teal'c, Jack, Sam, Vala. He didn't regret joining SG-1. If only they would just listen to him a bit more often.

"Dead?" Elphaba looked into Daniel's eyes "Then we have to be sure that no one see you. I don't think I heard about archeologyst in Oz." And without a second thoughts she put the broom in the other man's hands "you must lider this time. And don't worry, I think it likes you"

( ooc. Aww, thanks! And just for timeline conformation...before/after/during the Master plot? Because I love Daniel so much, I set him up for brainwashing. )

"Really?" Daniel said, looking at Elphaba. She hadn't heard of archaeologists? That was slightly bizarre. Well, it wasn't like it was the most famous occupation there was. "Basically I dig up old things and find out about the people who used them." Archaeology in a nutshell.

As Elphaba handed him the broom, Daniel raised an eyebrow. She wanted him to lead? What? No way. "I don't know how to fly this!" Daniel protested, looking at Elphaba. He didn't! Why did she want him to fly? He still wasn't all that comfortable with some of the technology at the base! He couldn't be expected to fly something he's only flown once before.

( ooc. Before? I know abotu the master plot but since I never watched doctor who on spain I didn't understand much hwo it works, so elphie and nancy aren't affected ^^' )

"So you're a library worm?" She said serious. "Good. I am one. I just wish that my companion on the university didn't look at me like that because I like to pass most of the time with my nose in a book. That Archaeology thing sounds really interesting."

Elphaba nearly smiled at Daniel scared words. "Don't worry. Just sit on the broom, it will do all the work. I need you int eh fron because I don't know what's the direccion of your house". And even if you could tell me and I can fly us to the house I really want to see you try that. She thought. "It can be good for you to learn how to fly, one never can know if it will be useful in the future"

His eyes widened slightly. She was a bookworm? He really couldn't picture that. Still, he had to agree with her. Archaeology was real fun. Finding ancient civilizations, piecing together different pieces of the giant puzzle of ancient life-he got a kick out of all of it. "Maybe later, after we've rescued Jack, we can talk." It seemed like it would be fun to talk to Elphaba about something like that.

Daniel looked at the broom, a little quizzical. Was that it? Just sit and point. That seemed simple enough. "...okay," Daniel said, still wondering if this was totally safe. Once again, he got on the broom, taking a moment to adjust his gun and get comfortable. "Ready when you are," Daniel said, a slight tinge of nervousness in his voice.

"I would love to do it." knowledge always interested Elphaba, know about different world, language an people was something that she always liked.

"I'm alway ready" She said sitting after him. So it was that. Daniel's mannerisms remember her of Fiyero, with his gentle way to talk to her even if she looked like the most strange thing he ever saw. "And don't worry about doinf something wrong, we will not fall, I will take care of it" She tried to gave him a calming smile.

Daniel took a deep breath. Well, now or never. He clenched on the broom. He wanted to go up. That was the first thing. He wanted to go up so he could get out of here. He wanted to-the broom zoomed up. Daniel's eyes widened. That was insane. Well, first thing was getting out of the prison. He frowned. Erm, broom move forward please?

Bam. It cannonballed forward, towards the exit of the prison. Daniel's eyes widened. This was strange. He had ridden in spaceships before, but this was totally different. It was like he was riding a roller coaster. One that he had complete control of. Oh yes, and one with no safety bars.

Elphaba laughed, subjecting her hat to prevent it to fly away.

"You're a fast learner Daniel!" It was quite funny being on the broom but without directing it. Almost like having a driver.

"Just be aware of the Houses. Looks like you have a natural talent."

Daniel, unlike Elphaba, wasn't really having fun. He clenched tightly on the broom, holding on for dear life. He knew the way to his house. It's just that it was a tad bit harder to do it when you were steering a broom. "Erm, left." The broom quickly swerved left. This was easier than he thought. The hardest part for him seemed to be holding on. "Right, please." The broom quickly swerved right. They were coming up to his apartment now. The easiest way would be to enter in from the window.

"Okay, now take a right-DON'T GO SO FAST!" Daniel said as the broom cannonballed to the right. He could fly this thing. He just couldn't slow it down. They pulled into the apartment complex, still going at high speeds. "Slow down, slow down, slow down," Daniel muttered, that becoming his new mantra. Surprisingly, the broom did slow down. Daniel turned it toward the window. Peering inside, he smiled. Yes, this was his apartment. "I don't suppose you have something on you to open windows?" he asked, looking at Elphaba. He really didn't want to use his gun to break the window.

The witch was still smiling, she wasn't sure why but Daniel had that effect on her.

"uhm...give me a moment" She took out the grimmerie of her bag and then she tried to find on the book some usefull spell After a few minutes she murmured.

"Oh yes, that's going to work. Can you stay back for a moment Daniel?" And without second thoughts Elphaba used the book to break the window with a fast move."Done."

After looking at Daniel's shocked expression she explained her actions.

"I know how to repair it with magic. But not how to open it. Sorry. Don't worry about the noise, when we were flying I didn't saw no one around."
